Just put mine on today, and I must say, it makes for a much better comfort experience. Of course, you lose out on the clean look of the interior of the Macbook Pro, but if you are working hours on your Macbook Pro, it's definitely functional. I also want to prevent staining on my system as my last laptop had the palmrests worn away due to my sweaty palms, and this meets the need just fine. Plus, with the new Macbook Pro's out, you can get these for cheap nowadays.

I am addicted to my MacBook Pro. Only when you tend to use the computer for that many hours that I do then it can hurt a bit on your wrists when they rest on the edge of the computer. With this protective package you tackle this problem. On top of that it prevents smudges getting on your computers.
It is a small price for maintaining your computer that i can recommend to anybody

The Protection Pack from Marware is a must-have for MacBook Pro owners. I bought the Protection Pack Deluxe, which has the keyboard protector/screen cleaner, wrist area pad, clear touch pad cover, and both clear and synthetic leather trackpad cover (you can choose whichever you like best...I put the synthetic leather one on). The clear trackpad cover does not noticeably decrease sensitivity, and the synthetic leather wrist pad and trackpad button keep my laptop protected from skin oils and scratches.
The key to putting the pad on is to peel off the backing little-by-little, and use a credit card to squish all the bubbles out as you go along. You should also clean the area first to remove any debris and oils so it will stick better, and do it when your computer is cool. My friend has had the protectors on for over a year now, and they've done their job; there are stains where his wrists lie on the laptop, so all he has to do is replace the Marware protector, and his MacBook Pro will look as good as new.
Just be patient when putting the things on your CLEAN and cool laptop, and everything will be fine.
