I would have been lost without this Wolverine photo storage in Namibia November 26, 2008 Thorgrimur Gudmundsson (Iceland) I bought this device before I went on a 4 week trip to Namibia ,Africa. After each day of photographing the wilderness and the wild animals of the country the Wolverine was a convenient and an easy way of storing the photographs. It's rather quick in copying the data from the memory card and the battery life was very good and that's very important when a long time could last between possible recharging.
A no frills device that works like a charm October 23, 2008 N. Savoiu I just bought this before a 3 week trip to India. It worked without a hitch and saved me from having to worry about a myriad of tiny SD cards. Battery life was adequate but I was never more than a couple of days away from a power supply.
Works as advertised...and great price, too September 23, 2008 M. A. Pfeiffer (Raleigh, NC) This little device (very light and small, so fits quite easily in any camera bag) is very helpful. For the price of a couple of 8GB compact flash cards, you can hold the equivalent of 10 8GB cards. I haven't used in the "field" yet, but in the tests I've conducted with it (on a Mac and a PC), the FlashPac uploads and downloads quickly and efficiently. I recommend this product to anyone who needs extra storage on the go.
Avoid this product June 30, 2008 Suzanne JUDD 6 out of 7 found this review helpful
The predecessor of the model 7080 was the model 7008, also 80 GB. I bought one in January 2007 to store digital photos on long trips. In May 2008 the hard drive failed, losing about 1,300 photos of a trip to Japan. Of course, the reason to use such a product in the first place is to safeguard photos from loss. This company's product caused the worst kind of failure: permanent loss of irreplaceable photos.
Stopped working May 6, 2008 Robert A. Bossinger Jr. 3 out of 5 found this review helpful
Stopped working on the 3rd card I plaqced in it, in the middle of a wedding. Am returning.
