Sound quality is great. Mic works wonderfully. I game with this and the sound is good. It even blocks out outside noise, which makes it fun giving blank looks to my wife. ;) It's comfortable for extended use, and a great deal to boot. The only drawback is no volume control on the cord and the mic boom could be a bit more adjustable. But those are minor compared to all the great pluses.

The headphones are very good. The sound quality is great, and the headphones are very well made. I love the 8' chord, it allows a great range of movement without have the the chords rip out of the computer. This is much different from all the other headphones that I've purchased. Another great thing is the mic, it has excellent pickup and is great for language programs in improving pronunciation.
The only thing is that if this is your first pair of bulky headphones, then it'll take some time to get use to the weight and the pressure on your head.
But overall, a great buy!

The Koss SB-45 Communication Stereophones are sold for a very modest price. The lightweight comfort matched by its "sturdy-enough-build" make these stereophones surprisingly delightful. Not to mention the sound is beyond clear for the price range, and the bass mysteriously clever.

 Broken microphone, right out of the box - twice November 6, 2008

Everything fine with these, comfort, sound is adequate, but we've had two sets with broken microphones. Tried on several machines (mac), all same.
The first unit failed after a couple of days of use, the second one had an inoperative mic right out of the box. Returning for a refund this time, not willing to waste any more time.
