Good Value October 11, 2008 I bought these to go with a new computer when my old Altecs suddenly died. I didn't realize how pitiful those speakers in the monitor really were until I played some of my favorite music files. All I wanted was something that would play my music, occasional DVDs or even games without sounding tinny and that would take some advantage of my sound card. These speakers were a good bargain, easy to set up & they do sound very nice. I have a good stereo elsewhere so these do not need to do more than work with my computer. Have not used the ipod cradle since that was not my purpose but it did come with several adapters for various players. Subwoofer sounds great under the desk - good vibration during a game. I do notice occasional buzzing sounds but not often & nothing to complain about - it's not like I paid a lot, is it?
Love them, they work great October 10, 2008 I'm in a dorm and the people around me can definitely hear the bass all hours of the night, sucks for them.
You get what you pay for! October 9, 2008 I cant think of anything positive on these speakers. No tweeters, no bass. Does not sound clear at all. Pay a little extra and get the Logitech Z-2300
Awesome October 7, 2008 You're not going to find a better sounding system for the money anywhere. We use it in our living room connected to laptop listening to music and audio books and we love them. Full rich sound for both types of media.
X-240 2.1 = Great computer speakers October 5, 2008 Really a terrific set of speakers. The iPod charging station makes it a great addition to your desk setup. Truly a great design and package.
