Product Description And the award for smallest satellite speakers goes to...Harman Multimedia for the tiny, graceful JBL Sonnet! What surprises, though, is how rich a sound field they're able to generate. At first glance, you may expect to hear the tinny tones of an internal PC speaker coming out of these little 2.13-by-2.5-by-4.38-inch speakers. Thanks to an innovative set of drivers and a more-powerful-than-it-looks subwoofer, they manage to pump out the aural richness you'd expect from speakers twice their size. Blow it up! The innovation in question is called the Odyssey Transducer - a little driver not much wider than a dime that pushes a hell of a lot more air than you'd think. There are a pair of these transducers in each satellite speaker, and at a glance you'd expect them to be tweeters - allowing the subwoofer to bring up the midrange and the bass - but don't be fooled. The little speakers shine their brightest while creating positional sounds; they're very convincing. The JBL Sonnet will please anyone with an extremely cramped workspace. Casual gamers and listeners will certainly feel that they've gotten their money's worth.
Amazon.com Product Description Harman Kardon's M310J is a high-performance three-piece speaker system for PCs, Macs, and portable MP3 and DVD players. Comprised of two 4-watt satellite speakers and a compact, 20-watt magnetically shielded subwoofer that reproduces bass down to 45 Hz, the Sonnet system provides a wide frequency response up to 20 KHz, delivering stereo-quality audio for music, movie, and games. The twin aluminum-dome Odyssey transducers in each satellite speaker are reverse magnetized to help prevent image distortion on computer monitors. With volume and mute controls conveniently located on the right satellite speaker, and bass and treble controls on the subwoofer, the system can be easily tuned to suit your preference and environment. Easy to set up, the speakers can be plugged into numerous portable devices such as MP3 players and boom boxes as well as PC and Mac computers. The system comes with a one-year warranty.

Amazing! November 14, 2004 Finch (Portland, OR USA) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
These Speakers are amazing! Once you hear something on them no other speakers sound good!
Great quality sound October 7, 2002 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
These speakers are definitely classy in look and sound. I've read reviews about Harmon Kardon both good and bad but as far as these speakers go, it far outweighs any bad reviews about other products. I highly recommend these for people who want great sound for a low price and without hassle.
Great sound, great look! June 27, 2002 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Absolutely thrilled with these speakers...got a great price for a superb product! Easy to set up, huge sound, and classy look. The set up was a no brainer as the five step process is explained with pictures--no words necessary. In addition, the ports and plugs are color coded to make it that much easier. The subwoofer provides a nice boom that rattles your bones without waking the neighbors (I think)!
Great Product for the Average User November 22, 2001 26 out of 26 found this review helpful
When I first received these speakers, the speakers themselves seemed really small. But, once I plugged them in, they produced great quality audio. I could blast them up, and it sounded much better than the JBL 2 speaker set I had before. I use these speakers for movies and mp3s. Although I'm not very picky on audio quality, I'm sure that these speakers would satisfy anyone wanting great audio who isn't a audiophile. There's one problem I have with these speakers: there's no headphones jack from the speakers. Other things that you might want to know if you are considering this unit: Power button is at the back of the subwoofer. Speakers are light and small; you can knock them over easily. Bass and Treble controls are on the front of the subwoofer. Volume Control is on top of the front right speaker.
sounds and looks beautiful October 2, 2001 Harrison (mount laurel, NJ United States) 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
didn't want more "boxes" sitting on my desk and was thinking about the isub to go with the imac, but there were issues like lack of volume controls and USB only connection. i am happy with the sonnets; i got a set for the home and office for less than the price of the soundsticks. they are the better value.
