The Zen sports a 2.5-inch TFT color display with 320 x 240-pixel resolution and support for up to 16.7 million colors. This razor sharp display is packaged in a device that weighs just 2.1 ounces and measures 3.26 x 2.16 x .44 inches (W x H x D). The internal battery powers the Zen for up to 25 hours of continuous audio playback and up to five hours of continuous video playback. It looked like the perfect price/performance win, and something my wife would be able to use to share small video, family pics, etc. with her friends. Having both MP3 and FM radio was nice, and 4 GB is a reasonable amount of room- not too small, not excessive (with added expense).
Was it a good gift? YES, my wife has enjoyed it every day since! :)

First of all let me say that this product is Amazing. I bought it for my girl friend and since she's not that into technology i had the pleasure of teaching her how to use it, so that means i had the please of turning it on first. This is where all the amazement started. The screen provided a crisp display of the Zen logo. Navigation around the menu is quite very easy and user friendly. Sound quality it at the top among the amazing picture quality of videos and photos. The only downfall to this item is that it didn't come with a wall charger, you have to plug it into the usb cord that's provided and then into the pc. Other than that I have no regrets in buying this. It's neat and just fits right into ur hand, my girl LOVES it even more than i do...WONDERFULL GIFT......

The Creative Zen is a fantastic little gadget. I bought two for my kids for Christmas and they can't put them down. The 4 gb holds plenty of music and the graphics are great. It hold over 30 hours of media and their website is easy to use. When they arrived I took them both out of the package to have them charged, download some of their favorite music and have them ready to go. I had so much fun with the Zen, I was disappointed I did not get myself one. Definately a great buy, well worth the money. I am glad I made this purchase instead of spending a fortune on the iPod. I highly recommend this product.
