Not the best player December 11, 2008 K. Wilson (Pocatello, Idaho USA) I used one of these for close to a year before I upgraded. While I found the audio quality to be just fine, I did experience that it ate batteries like nobody's business. I also had some issues with it staying connected to my PC long enough to transfer more than 1 or 2 songs at a time, so I eventually gave up on that and went with just using SD cards. Eventually this player had problems playing in both ears, a problem related to the fact that the headphone jack is only secured in the player with the solder points and eventually the natural stress created by the headphone plug will cause the solder joints to fail, resulting in loss of signal to one ear or other. This is a common issue for lower-priced MP3 players. While I certainly feel like I got my money's worth from the product, I won't buy another.
RCA Lyra April 22, 2008 GregF (chicago) This product is great for listening to music, but the headphones that it was shipped with were trash. I bought 3 MP3 players and threw all the head sets away. I recommend this Mp3 player because it has a SD card exspation slot. It is easy to use and transfer music, if you have musicmatch you don't need to load the cd that comes with the player. The thing I like most about this product is that it uses 1 "AAA" battery that lasts forever, but be prepared to purchase new headphones.
Beware of RCA's mp3 players! April 11, 2008 Kari (US) RCA does not stand behind is product! I bought an MP3 that they admit is DEFFECTIVE but they will charge me $62 for a replacement when I paid $59 for it at a local store! And no there products are NOT Vista compatible. They don't have any other alternative drivers or software for vista at this point. But I found a way around that to find out that the Mp3 player itself is deffective. Spent an hour on the phone with customer service and she told me I should send it back but I would have to pay more to replace it than I paid for it new! There customer service also informed me I wasn't the only one with these problems! STAY AWAY FROM RCA!!!! I had a similar thing happen some years ago with an rca VCR!
