Does NOT work with Overdrive Audiobooks January 7, 2009 A. Anderson Pros: The Sansa m250 was a great little player that played music, had FM radio, and a voice recorder. Sound quality was good and the price was right. Simple plug and play syncing with the computer. If you do not wish to play audiobooks (see cons below), this is one of the best 2GB flash players available. Major Con (for me): Does not work with Overdrive audiobooks (which is not mentioned in the description). It does not remember where you paused if it turns off. If you try to fast forward back to where you were anywhere past about the 15 minute mark, it skips to the next section. Unless you listen to the whole section/file at once (two hour, nonstop sessions), this product will not work for you. Because I purchased this item solely to play DRM'd WMA audiobooks (my Ipod will not), I had to RMA this item. By the way, after researching the web, I found out that it is the latest firmware update that causes this issue (older versions of firmware on this product did not have the issue). However, since this is considered a discontinued product by Sandisk, they will never fix this issue. In fact, people have been complaining about this exact problem for over a year with no fix in sight.
Sansa M250 January 6, 2009 Y. Hwang (Portland, OR) I pick this one up as a x-mas present for my nephew, I bought one for myself a year ago for twice amount the price I paid for this one. It's easy to operate and has many extra small features: a clear case to keep it in good condition, strips use during exercise. It also has more features than my more expense MP3 player: sleep timer, FM stereo, voice recording. For the price, it's a great buy.
Not worth the money January 6, 2009 inhonorofthechub (ashevegas) Well, for a first time Mp3 player I suppose it isn't awful... but I wouldn't spend the money again on it.
Value was great for the cost January 6, 2009 G. Ashe (Sterling, VA USA) Simply put, this is a decent little Mp3 player. Nothing super flashy, but it seems to get the job done. I got this little device for 25 dollars on Amazon, and I don't think you can currently find another 2 GB player for near that price.
san disk sansa 2GB m250 MP3 player January 6, 2009 SUE (NYC-USA) I would say this is just ok for the money.. I previously owned the ipod shuffle and thought this would be similar. I was wrong.. This is a totally different animal. You get what you pay for.. The on/off and volume controls are difficult to manipulate. The ear plugs do not stay in my ears. Stick with ipod....
