I do not feel this case provides adequate protection. It is fairly loose, which I can sort of understand due to the large screen surface area, but this felt excessive. The silicone is thin and seems like it would tear easily. This case also provides no screen protection.
The belt clip is low grade plastic, but in conjunction with the swivel on the back of the case, should do the job. I took off the swivel to get back about 1/4" to put the iPod in my pocket. There are slots in the silicone so a belt or arm band can be run through it, but I'd be afraid of tearing the silicone. It also leaves open two slots to scratch the back of your iPod.
For the price, you get what you paid for. I wasn't satisfied and purchased an acrylic hard case. There seem to be good silicone cases out there, this isn't one of them.
