Problems November 21, 2008 C-Bone (Sacramento, ca United States) Well when I first got the radio it had a broken LCD and quit working the first day. I did not want the cost of return shipping so I tossed it and gave a so so review. Shoptronics wanted me to remove my negative remarks so they sent me a NEW unit at no cost to me. " Very appriciated." Until I took the "new" unit out of the box and there was a loose screw or somthing flopping around in it. So, I let them know. They told me I was a liar and the unit was OK. I now have two broken shower radios and I will never do bussines with them again!!!!!
cool radio November 21, 2008 L. Sisco (DAYTON, NJ United States) It works good for what I use it for, by the pool. I wish the speakers were better.
You better own a battery company October 22, 2008 June (Central Florida) This unit eats batteries like they are on special at the all you can eat buffet. Even when not in use the batteries are drained by the memory presets. I put brand new duracell batteries in it and used it TWICE and this was only playing the radio because the first set of batteries ran out so quick that I thought maybe the CD player was too much for them. I went to turn the radio on for the third time and the batteries were dead as a doornail. ***NOTE*** Each time the batteries die, you must redo the radio station presets. If you are determined to buy this product, I highly recommend getting an adapter so you can plug it in, which obviously defeats the 'shower' aspect of this item. I would not buy it again nor recommend it to anyone.
Blah October 19, 2008 Rachel It's fine when it works. Sometimes, I'll hit a button and it won't respond or I'll be listening to a CD and the time counter keeps going like the song is actually playing, but nothing comes out, and then the next song will work. Also, even at maximum volume, it's not that loud.
Really Nice product March 19, 2008 J. Beck (Willoughby, OH USA) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
This is a great radio. We put it on the back shelf in our shower and have not had an problems with it getting splashed. The cd compartment is well sealed so no water seems to get in there. My only complaint is that is seems to go through batteries pretty quickly, so we are investing in some rechargeable ones as the AC cord available to purchase separately would be unsafe in water. This is a good buy and heads and tails above any similar product we have tried.
