Product Description The incredible bass and enveloping experience of a home audio system is now available on the go. The Logitech mm50 Portable Speakers for iPod use 3" pressure drivers to maximize bass and minimize distortion. The rechargeable Li-ion batteries last up to 10 hours, and you can charge both the speaker system and iPod battery simultaneously. Using 3-D sound processing that "widens" the stereo effect, this system's sound seems to come from an area about two feet wider than the speaker itself. And with a custom travel case, you can take the big sound from this small package anywhere. For a complete compatibility list please refer to the original manufacturer's web site..

Very Good speaker system December 1, 2008 Howard Wheaton (Huntington Beach, CA) Good sound for a speaker set this size; plenty of volume and quite clear when playing ipod tunes. I particularly like that when its charger is plugged in to a wall outlet it charges its own battery and the ipod battery as well.
Poor Design. November 1, 2008 Lonnie Davenport The sound was great but when I found out that once the rechargeable battery will no longer hold a charge, because it can not be replaced, it essentially becomes worthless! I could not get it to play with even the A/C adopter. I did see over the internet some people were finding ways to replace the battery, but what poor design. I will never buy another Logitech product.
Worked, sometimes, for a while... September 24, 2008 MlleYeuxBleus (Raleigh, NC USA) I've had this product for a little over a year. From the very beginning, it had a problem mentioned in the forums for this product: even if it had been charging for days without playing a note, it needed a boost from the outlet before it would play (then, it would play for hours just fine without being plugged in). Like the person who started that thread noted, it doesn't exactly make them PORTABLE! I would not trust taking these to a place without power, because it seems to really like a boost of electricity before it'll start playing. Not only that, a few months ago, more stuff started to go wrong. When I try to plug the adaptor cord into the outlet on the back of the speakers, it doesn't always work. It's plugged in, sure. But something is wrong, I think, with the outlet hole on the back of the speakers... the connection isn't connecting in there. For a while, I was able to get it to work by wiggling the adaptor cord around in the speaker outlet for about 15 minutes, getting the angle just right, then sticking a lighter underneath the cord & a heavy candle (not lit, LOL) on top of the speakers. But God forbid you breathe on it, because the connection will get lost again. Lately, it's stopped working altogether... nothing can make this puppy charge, NOTHING. I don't know what the technical term for this part is, but it's the outlet (hole?) on the back of the speakers, where the cord plugs into the speakers. Something inside there is loose, so the cord isn't able to give any juice to the speakers. Such a waste, along with the other 5 or 6 iPod speakers I've acquired over the years, that all seem to have a life of only a few months... never much longer than a year. Wish someone could make iPod speakers that could actually stand up to use & last awhile. Guess they want to keep us buying more speakers. Well, my list of brands I will not buy again is growing longer & longer, & Logitech is at the top of it!
Never Recieved September 18, 2008 Christopher P. Eames 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I wouldnt be able to tell you about this product because it never reached me and the best that the retailer could do for me is return my money. So I went to a local retailer and spent 150% of what I originally paid because I knew I could walk out with it. Thanks a lot Amazon. Oh, by the way, this was my first ever purchase with Amazon, and likely the last. Gee, if only we could figure out why our service based economy is failing. Curious, isnt it?
Logitech Portable Speakers August 11, 2008 B. Fulton (Renton, WA United States) These speakers provide great sound for your I-Pod. The product was as advertised, and the seller was quick to ship.
