Just what I needed.... January 8, 2009 Nona Ballard (Keller, TX) I was glad to find a case that would provide protection for my Creative Zen without limiting my use of the Zen. I use the snapped flap on the back to carry my Bose earphones. Makes a neat and convenient package and is always at the ready.
Not great for a Zen X-Fi January 7, 2009 D. Earl (Creekside in PA) I bought this from another web site with my Zen X-Fi player as it was "suggested" when I checked out. It's a nice case for protecting the player in my purse, and is fairly nice quality leather. It also has great access to the buttons on the front of the player. It has openings for the jack connection and the USB connector cord. I haven't used them yet, but there are two slots inside the cover for SD cards. All that said, if I could do it over, I wouldn't have ordered it. It has no opening for either the speaker, nor, more importantly to me, the power switch on the back. It does not work as a stand for viewing--it just slides down flat when you try it. The power switch being covered is the biggest aggravation. It's really annoying to have to take the player out, turn it on, put it back in and *then* connect the ear buds. I'm still looking for the perfect case for the X-Fi. Should I ever find it, I'll come back and update.
Not Bad, But A Screen Protector Would Be Perfect January 3, 2009 J. M. Taylor (Omaha, Nebraska United States) I got this case free when I bought my ZEN, so I can't comment on the price point. The case is reasonably thick and put together well. It looks nice too, black with some red edging around the seams. It has openings to allow access to you power/hold button, USB, and headphone jack. On mine, the corners of the pouch where the ZEN sits are open which is kind of strange. You would think the whole thing would be enclosed, but it's no big deal. It's also nice that the flap has two pouches for SD cards - great little touch! There are two niggles I have with it: First, The ZEN has an awesome screen that needs to be protected. I wish this case had a plastic window or something to protect the screen and keep fingerprints off the buttons. That's the whole point of a case, right? Secondly (and this is more out of principle than a real fault since I'll never use it)the case flap is supposed to flip over and act as a stand for viewing. Mine doesn't support the player well, and falls flat. I hear the acrylic case does a better job of propping up the ZEN, though so maybe go that route if that feature is important to you. All in all, not bad, but you'll still need a seperate screen protector - a real missed opportunity for Creative on this case.
Good buy December 26, 2008 Terra (Los Angeles) The case looks a little dorky in the picture on Amazon.com, but it actually is a good case. We're glad we bought it for the Zen.
NOT FOR the ZEN X-Fi December 25, 2008 Allan Wallace (Knoxville, Tennessee, USA) DO NOT BUY THIS CASE FOR THE X-FI! It does not have an opening in the back for the On/Off switch and does not have a slot for the external speaker. This would be an excellent case for the ZEN but not the Zen X-Fi.
