1 out of 5 stars Had for a week and then returned   August 28, 2008
B. Sharpe (Miami, FL)
I was so looking forward to these but after watching just over 1 hour of a movie I started getting screen burn. I tried it the next day and the screen burn came about after 5 min. I called the company, they quickly said to return to the company I bought them from. I then returned them and did not buy a new pair.

I then hear MyVu announce the crystal viewer so I waited for that one to come out and am very happy with it. I have used the Crystal for over 20 hours and still happy.

Good luck with your choice, it is still fairly new tech and should slowly get better.

1 out of 5 stars broken and Datavision would not return   February 27, 2008

Bought it for my husband for Christmas on 12/5. After he opened it it did not work at all. I tried to return it the 3d week in January and Datavision refused to take it back b/c it was 30 days after purchase. Very arrogantly told me to contact EZ gear and get a new set via my warranty. Datavision would not help in anyway and could care less--they said it was my fault it was after 30 days of purchase (which is still within 30 days of Christmas). They implied that I was lying. I warn you to stay away from Datavision. They have no interest in customer service. It is a mail order warehouse.
Now I am trying to track down a new set via EZ gear.I just want this returned--it is a piece of garbage.

3 out of 5 stars 640x480 = 922,000 pixels!?   January 8, 2008

The specs state "Resolution: 922,000 Pixels (640x480)". I would just like to point out that video goggle makers live in a special world with different laws of multiplication. Everywhere else, 640x480 = 307,200 pixels, not 922,000. What lets them puff up the pixel count by more than 300%? Some other video goggle makers also use this same misleading math.

The size and shape are the same as standard TV, so pan-and-scan 4:3 DVDs ("modified to fit your TV screen") should look quite good at full resolution. Widescreen 16:9 DVDs ("enhanced for wide screen TVs") will have to be letterboxed down to 640x360, 1/3 less than the full 720x480 resolution of DVD. (The same is done with standard TV.) So it should look similar to watching a DVD on a big-screen standard TV (not hi-def). These goggles are hi-res compared to the ezGear TH100 G1 goggles, which have 320x240 resolution (1/4 of standard TV).

1 out of 5 stars Zero Visibility   January 2, 2008
Bradley C. Eiler (Tallahassee, FL)
I purchased this product to play my XBOX, XBOX 360, watch a little TV and watch videos on my Zen Vision M. When I opened the box, the glasses were not as shown in the advertisement. After charging the battery, I set out to test this product and noticed that when gaming and watching TV the video quality is dark and you can not see any of the gaming detail even in lighted areas and the same with movies. You can't make out the actors faces. Also, the sound quality was extremely low. There are no adjustments to correct the audio and video settings. In the lower left corner the image was blury. Text was practically unreadable. I did not try it with my Zen Vision M, however, I doubt the video and audio would improve. After reading the 2 other reviews, I think they sent me Allerka's returned item (just kidding, but seriously). This item is being returned. I am extremely disappointed.

5 out of 5 stars ezVision X4 are Awesome   December 10, 2007

I absolutely love this product. I don't know if I would use it to play high resolution games, but for my DVD player it is awesome. I use these on a plane. The image is bright, and the resolution is great. Even the action movies I watch work well. The battery lasts 5 hours, which is enough for me to watch 1-2 movies. The battery lasts longer than my DVD and for long trips, I have an extra battery. They are very comfortable and lightweight, and with my DVD player, I can use my own SX70 Ultraear earphones no problem.
