We installed this unit to replace an unresponsive under-the-cabinet CD player. We like it pretty well. The sound is a little muddy. It can be adjusted somewhat by changing the equalizer settings on the iPod, but it would have been nice if that function was part of the player itself.
Once docked, the iPod (especially the smaller ones) are a little difficult to remove because they nest down into the dock and it's a tight fit to get your fingers around it to pull it out.
The installation instructions include a platen and dimensions for marking the bolt holes, but they don't mention anything about clearance underneath the unit. Beware...you will need an additional 5" underneath for the docking tray to drop down, otherwise it doesn't completely open. We found out the hard way when we hit the eject button for the first time, the tray opened, hit the top of the microwave and immediately closed again. We were about 1/2" too close - which meant we had to re-mount the player under a different cabinet.
Also - it's not apparent in the description photos, but the speakers are on the underside of the unit and are angled down. Anything you place on the counter underneath is going to somewhat muffle the sound.
I'd buy it again, but I wish I'd known it wouldn't fit in the space I wanted it to.

This product worked perfectly, fit easily under the cabinets and works with my families multitude of IPOD's. The only issue I have is that it does not charge the newest version of the Nano. It has very good sound and easily fills my kitchen and dining room with clear music.

I purchased this item for my daughter for Christmas. It was the only under the counter player that I could find that had an IPOD dock. The quality of the product is phenomenal for the price. I was pleasantly surprised.

This under the counter iPod radio was a great value at the price of $35. I didn't find many other products to satisfy this niche. The ejectable iPod dock is a nice feature. The front faceplate of the player seems a little cheap, and was peeling off on the unit I received.

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my wife to replace an iPod docking station that didn't work. I wanted a clock radio, iPod charging station, and weather radio (didn't need the tv tuner and don't know if it will be able to receive signals after the digital cutover) so this one covered all the bases. Tech For Less delivered the item very quickly, early on in the delivery window (which was about a 2-week span). Christmas afternoon I quickly installed the radio under the counter. Just 4 screws and a few of the included adapter pieces and it was secure. Setting the time, date, and radio frequencies in memory was easy. The sound was great. The speakers take up much of the box, which is a good thing. The sound sounded clean from low volume up to a fairly high setting. Using it as an iPod player, the sound was even better. The display shows song title, artist and album. The included remote has a magnet on the back so you can store it on the refrigerator for quick retrieval. The remote, however, only has a few rudimentary controls: you cannot change the playlist, just forward and backward through the one you are on. Overall, I am very impressed with this unit and recommend it.
