Looks like leather to me, I guess I won't find out until it scratches or something, the magnet clip is very convenient for quick access although the inner cap goes way to the top of the phone which makes it difficult to grab I will appreciate if it would be a little lower so you can grab the phone more easily, the belt clip is a little hard to clamp in the belt, I guess it locks it better this way, I'm using it with an iphone 3g.

the case is described as leather, but is clearly not. obviously this makes the product overpriced for a vinyl case.
