5 out of 5 stars Great Product.   March 26, 2008
Surinder Singh (OH)
I have had this XRoad V4150 for over 2 months now, I am very happy with this unit. This model has been discontinued by XRoad they are coming up with new model by June 2008 with much more advanced features. I had wanted to buy another one, so I am going to wait until then. Here's the review of XRoad V4150 I had posted on another website.....Great product. Seeing the performance of Xroad V4150 GPS I have been compelled to write a review. This GPS is being used in around Cleveland, Ohio area. On first day of use I was sitting in passenger seat turned it on , it locked in the signal with in 10 seconds. Another day it was snowing heavily, turned it on, by the time I finished cleaning snow from my car it had locked in the signal. Have used it on full cloudy day with no satellite signal loss at all. I am amazed that It even picks up the satellite signal when I turn it on in my home with doors & window blinds closed. Its accuracy with your actual position on road is within 2-3 feet. There is even no need to look on the screen or name of street out on the road, voice prompt will tell you keep driving for three miles then another voice prompt be prepared to make a right or left turn at quarter of a mile then another voice prompt that make a right in next 400 feet or 10 feet until you make a turn. If you intentionally miss a turn it recalculates the route within seconds. Built in MP3 & MP4 players are nice. 2 GB card that comes with this GPS is almost close to full . Need to download your mp3 / mp4 files on another card to play them. Bought a 8GB SDHC card but it doesn't support that. Bluetooth works fine. Touch screen is nice. Has US & Canadian maps. Where can you get a 4.3" touch screen mp4 player for under $ 160.00 then GPS comes free along with it. Just buy it.

4 out of 5 stars GPS XROAD V4150   March 20, 2008
NURIEL YEFET (New York)
I was looking for gps for a long time with extra features like Bluetooth, mp3, music, and more option I found the Xroad V4150 GPS I paid a very good price for the GPS under $[...] and is working excellent please be a wear for good signal! pay more and get the external antenna ([...]) and you will love it. All the other GPS just to expensive and don't have the same features as Xroad V4150 you will love the 3D Map option, Cockpit, night mode, you would like the key pad change to any language even speak different language.
Just send an e-mail to support and you will get all the answer
support@xroadgps.com
Thank You Xroad

4 out of 5 stars Dont be fooled by fools   February 6, 2008

Ok. I have owned a Magellan, Garmin and also a lower end GPS by Lowrance. All were more expensive than this one. Been a user of GPS devices, civilian and military for over 8 years. ALL TESTS DONE IN CONNECTICUT.

Im more impressed with this XROAD than my previous ones. Within 30 seconds of powering it up, found GPS SIGNAL ( I was standing outside my house). All my other GPS units, if your are in a BUS, or in a building have trouble connecting to GPS, so I dont understand why people are even trying to do this anyways, when do you drive into a building? This is typical of any GPS when obstructed views. BMW 3 series GPS, while riding with this, was slower in response and dropouts at the same points. I think most people reviewing havent had much experience with other GPS units.

- Needs carrying case (can use an hard drive soft pad case works well, fits AC adapter also)
- Night time mode is great
- POI menus are decent
- Redirecting after changing route is very very fast.
- Uses Xvid codec for AVI file player
- Plays MP3s
- 2GB Card is almost full, so a 4GB card would be nice to keep both map data and MP3s or movies.

Would def. recommend for first time GPS user, or more advanced user. Dont be fooled by the low price, it is worth more than what you paid for.

2 out of 5 stars You get what you pay for   December 30, 2007

I was initially impressed with the features and navigation compared to a nuvi250 I played with just prior to getting the 4150, but that wore off pretty quickly.

No AC adapter. (Boo.)
Atrocious battery life. (Hiss.)
It couldn't lock onto a single satellite from inside a bus.
Or an airplane...
Or on a balcony...
Or amongst tall buildings...(Heckling/taunts)

I'm disappointed (in myself) for being sucked in by the low price, "If it sounds too good to be true...."

1 out of 5 stars NO GPS Signal in Day time   December 30, 2007

Unit don't get GPS Signal in day time at ALL on Los Angeles, CA. What's use of GPS devise without GPS signal. Night(after 6PM) couple of times able to get the GPS signal but takes 10+ min to lock. If you are in short trip then you are out of luck in night also.

useless product for navigation purpose.
