2/3rd's disappointed November 24, 2008 Jazz piano fan
The first cd is Beegie Adair's Sinatra disc, the other two by Huntsinger are pretty lame in comparison, but for the money its a decent deal for all three.
Wonderful rendition of old favorites September 21, 2008 Scott Thomas (Virginia, USA) This is a wonderful piano rendition of Sinatra classics by Beegie Adair, along with a second CD featuring David Huntsinger. Not being familiar with David Huntsinger, we like the CD, but it is not really suitable for the background music we were looking for.
The dinner series December 3, 2007 Dorothy Barnard (York, ME USA) This is a great box set featuring Beegie Adair who is just terrific as a piano player. Very relaxing, soothing music. I am never disappointed with Greenhill music.
Beautiful music/3 separate CD's/2 of them NOT Beegie though November 14, 2007 R. Bosma (Dallas, Texas United States) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I came across Beegie's music about 6 months ago and absolutely love it. I have several of her albums now and was excited to get this set which arrived last night. I was surprised to see that 2 of the albums don't even have Beegie on them. I assumed from the way it was listed that she and David H. played together on them, but 2 of the albums are only David and his friends. He is great, too. Possibly a bit less dynamic, and doesn't quite "move" me the same, but great none-the-less. Just don't expect 3 Beegie albums. By the way, the Beegie album is the Frank Sinatra Collection, so if you already have it don't get this set. The David H. albums are For Sentimental Reasons Vol.I and II. For the price, this set is a great bargain. And who knows, David H. just might become one of my new "faves" :)
Light Jazz at its Finest August 31, 2007 Jeffrey R. Shore (Auburn, CA USA) This is the 6th Beegie Adair CD I have purchased - I've yet to be disappointed. The style is rich and warm. There is no unnecessary overcomplication that you so often see in jazz. The interpretations do the original writers proud. The music will get inside of your head - and that's a very good thing!
