 go for an encase, this is mediocre at best September 23, 2008

when i got this, the new ipod had just come out and encase hadn't come out with a holder for this...i had used encase on my 2nd generation nano and it was perfection...so i tried this skin...the screen cover that comes with it was heck to use, and left sticky garbage all over the place...and, surprise, the wheel on this generation nano is very hard if not impossible to use through any type of layer or cover (which is why the encase leaves the wheel uncovered where in my 2nd generation nano they had a plastic film over it that didn't prevent the wheel's use)...so, i had to use an exacto to cut the part of the skin covering the wheel out...
also, this thing doesn't have any way to put this on a belt, or your shorts (like, supriZZZZZZZZZe, the encase does)...so i got a clip that you can attach with removable sticky backing, but the silicone is so slippery it will not take any type of sticky substance to attach a belt clip, so i had to attach the clip to the back of my ipod inside the skin...luckily the removable sticky attachment for the clip really is removable (with some persistence) and didn't damage at all the ipod back...
but save yourself a headache now that encase has fitted a case to the new nano, and don't mess around with these half-a@@ solutions like this one...sure, encase is $29, but on my 2nd generation nano it kept the thing looking new for 3 years, and the encase is so sturdily built iT looks new still (no, i don't work for them!)...but this skin stuff is for the birds, who probably wouldn't like it anyway...
well, just my opinion, but if you are the kind of person who likes a great solution to a need, then forgo this one...if you like cheap and something that will sort of work, with some jiggering, than by all means, get this piece of...silicone

Purchased primarily for listening to audio books at the suggestion of a friend, I have also downloaded a few of my favorite old tunes. Easy to operate and the price was reasonable.

This little silicone case for my nano ipod is amazing! It keeps your nano safe. I've dropped my nano almost 4 times and this case has saved it! It protects like magic!

I was looking for an inexpensive way to protect my ipod. This case fits easily and perfectly and comes with several plastic protectant films. The wheel still maintained perfect sensitivity. Excellent product for an excellent price.

this sleeve protects my brand new ipod and keeps it looking brand new. it even comes with screen protectors for the front screen and back mental part to keep it scratch free.
the sleeve even comes with built in slits for an arm band to fit through.
a wise investment!
