Most Awesome Thing I Own! December 2, 2008 bunnyboobops 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I saw it on Oprah and had to have it. I love to read, that's why I bought it. But I was pleasantly surprised by lots of other features I didn't know I was getting. Like the basic web browser. It's not the best but it definitely comes in handy. The look-up mode is nice to. Anyway, I'm glad I got mine.
They stand by the product! December 2, 2008 Lawrence H. Billingsley (Guilford, CT) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have had the Kindle now for 3 months, and the best part of it is that it is easy on the eyes. I did have a problem with the screen in the first month, but after talking to customer service, i had a new one the next day! That is standing by your product. Lawrence Billingsley
READ ALOT December 2, 2008 Wendy D. Etheridge (illinois) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Very satisfied. Exellent customer service. Only thing that I don't like is the fact that they discontinued the kindle now now service. That was wonderful.Happy enough all the way around still.
I love the Kindle December 2, 2008 S. Herman (Carrollton GA, USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My husband is usually the one who has and wants all the high tech NEW things. I have always just wanted a simple cell phone, a cheap Laptop, a simple Ipod. But when I seen the Kindle, I had to have it. I did see it on Oprah but did alot of my own research before buying. It is the greatest thing for avid readers like me. I have had my Kindle for about 3 weeks and have read about 3-4 books already. I have downloaded quite a few more that I have not yet read. Everything about this device is wonderful. The one thing I do though is when I'm home or have my laptop, I go on the computer to Amazon and search books. It can take alot of time looking up books on the Kindle but I do when I am away from a computer. And alot of the books are anywhere from 3-5 dollars. I paid $2.71 for one the other day. If you love to read and like me and my husband, spend hours and tons of money in the bookstores, the Kindle is for you. My husband does Flight Inspection for the FAA and flies every other week. So far he has not asked for my Kindle, so I may have to buy him his own.
Let's Me Read Agian! December 2, 2008 I. Ashkenas (San Diego, CA United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I suffered a small stroke 4 years ago that affected the vision in my left eye, making me legally blind in that eye. After 4 years of treatments and surgeries, I am still at 20/200 in the eye. For the last 4 years, I have been unable to read unless I held a large magnifier in one hand and the book in the other. Not convenient and not conducive to reading. I bought the Kindle a month ago, hoping I could increase the font enough to use it. I can read at the 5th font (not the largest!) and have devoured three books already! The only downside is that I can't stop and have gotten nothing else done around the house. I encourage anyone to give it a try.
